Music Theory/Piano Proficiency Lessons

Learning music theory is essential to your journey as you learn to play an instrument.  All students will learn music theory to accompany their instrumental skill level.  In addition to piano lessons, I also offer piano proficiency tutoring & music theory lessons to high school students who are college-bound and planning to major in music.  University's require theory and piano proficiency of the students and I can help get you off to a great start before you leave for college.  I also offer theory for any student, child or adult, who wishes to pursue a more in-depth study of the fundamentals of music.  Contact me for more information and to discuss your music theory needs.

“I have known Mrs. Cimbalo for over 15 years now. She was the person that motivated my daughter to become a music teacher. Mrs. Cimbalo is passionate for her teaching and the students. She is a master motivator and yet has patience when it’s needed. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a private teacher. “

"Angie Cimbalo's guidance was paramount for my development once I decided I was going to major in music. She helped me prepare for college level piano and music theory courses. I wish I had studied piano with Mrs. Cimbalo before my senior year of high school. Her teaching, expertise, and warm personality will help mold any musician no matter their age or skill level."

Detail of Sheet Music

I can easily say that I would not have gotten this far as a musician without the help of Angie Jones Cimbalo. I began my trombone studies with Angie Jones Cimbalo at the age of twelve. From the very beginning, my studies were steeped in the development of great fundamentals such as wind, sound and intonation. I could not have had a better foundation for continued success!
